Meet “Sandy”, an amazing Spotted Eagle Ray who has been hanging out at Airport Beach on a regular basis for the last month or so. She has gotten her name “Sandy” due to always having just a bit of sand on her topside. She displays a “not-worried” behavior to Scuba divers… so if approached slowly, you’re in for a real treat of an experience.
Clumpy Nudibranch (Asteronotus Cepitosus)
We’ve been seeing this lil creature cruising the sand patch at Honokowai Beach the last couple of days. Definitely one of the larger species of Nudibranch, cruising at 8″ in length. AWESOME !! The Clumpy Nudibranch ( Asteronotus Cespitosus )
Hawksbill @ Honokawai !!
We never know what we’re going to come across on our dives, but we always hope it’s something like the amazing Hawksbill Sea Turtle.
Mushroom Coral at Honokawai Beach, Maui
I’ve been watching this patch of Mushroom coral grow for the last 10+ years.
I enjoy that they are different than many other corals in that they grow independently from the reef, unattached.
“Let’s Get Tanked..!!”
FROGFISH at Ka’anapali Beach Club !!
So AMAZING… After diving the reef out in front of our resort for the last 12 years, I finally
saw my first Frogfish there. And what an awesome critter !! Bright Neon Yellow and all it’s splendor !!
Adopt-A-Hwy Cleanup FEB. 20, 2016
It’s that time again for our Highway 30 cleanup on 2/20/16. We are long over due… Like usual we will meet at the parking lot of Airport Beach, MAUI at 8:00AM and then hit the highway for our 2 mile cleanup. After we are done with the cleaning portion of the morning, BREAKFAST on Tiny Bubbles Scuba at Castaways Cafe. TBS will provide Gloves, Bags, Orange shirts/vests, drinking water from Tropic Water. Shoes recommended and a huge appetite for b-fast after cleanup !!
Look for the white Van in the parking lot !!
White Mouth Moray Eel
We saw this awesome White Mouth Moray Eel at the Turtle “cleaning station” on our Scooter Dive on the south reef at Honokawai Beach, Maui.
Snowflake Moray Eel
On our way back into shore at the very end of our dive in about 5′ of water, we were blessed with this little critter slithering around out in the open.
Snowflake Moray Eel, one of the less aggressive eels out there with such great colors and design on them.
Great finish to a great dive at Honokawai Beach, MAUI !!
Imperial Nudibranch
We found these little creatures doing a little underwater NASCAR (“drafting”) on the reef. This a pair of
Imperial Nudibranchs with such amazing colors and patterns, only each about 1″ long.
Tiny Bubbles welcomes our new instructor, Robert !!
Tiny Bubbles Scuba was recently blessed with a new instructor on STAFF, Robert Park.
He fit in with the Tiny Bubbles family right away and we look forward to an awesome future…
So, give us a ring and … “Let’s Get Tanked..!!”
